The following pieces by Sebastian Beliah and by Max Bober, are exploring the edges of improvisation and composition. We could also understand this as an invitation to imagination and listening. A string sounds, a space is opened, not for witnessing a monolog, but for staying with us for a while.

# 1An attempt to describe feelings I experienced during meditation, although it is not related to any kind of ritual. Just the awareness of phenomenons coming and going. Sometimes phasing each others almost perfectly, sometimes teared apart, in a time frame that could have last, somehow, even longer.

#3 & #4 Those two compositions are part of a larger set. They consist of water colour paintings or India ink on paper with no further indications. At the time I wrote them I was trying to catch up a moment and put it on paper with just a general shape of sound in mind - a resonance. Later on, we use those drawings and paintings with Max as a momentum for improvisation, trying to recreate intuitively new resonances out of those shapes.

#2 & #5 These pieces are structured as a maze which results of accidental melodies decided by the performers. Those decisions are creating encounters and temporary separations.
